Not a Fan

Danny and I saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull today at Arclight Sherman Oaks. We went to the 3:46 showing. Yes, that's right...3:46. They had some wacky ass times that the movie started. Of course, it was playing in 7 of the auditoriums there. Anyway...I really didn't care much for it, which pisses me of. I was really looking forward to seeing this movie and it just totally let me down. Now, of course, Shia was great...but the movie was lacking something. It was actually kind of boring. Not to mention, I sat next to some woman who wouldn't shut her trap the whole 2 hours. She kept talking, talking, talking, talking...and then she pulled out some kind of sandwich, which smelled like someone died in her purse. Oh yea...did I mention that her and her husband kept opening cans of soda that they snuck into the theater as well? It always happens that I wind up sitting next to the most obnoxious person in the ENTIRE auditorium. Never fails.

Sex & the City opens next weekend. I really am excited to see that one. I really hope it's not terrible. I have heard some not so good things about it, but I am going in with an open mind. I loved the show and have seen every episode, so I owe it to myself to go see the movie. Danny doesn't wanna go, so a few of us are gonna try to have a girl's day out to see it.

Work was a killer this past week. Jorge (our copy guy) was out sick with strep throat. Josh, Cheryl and I stepped up to the plate to help out with his mailers. Boy oh boy...that's not a fun job. The whole week was just stress. I barely had time to get my own work done, and since we were closing at 1:00 on Friday, it put even more pressure on us - especially when people put mailers in at 12:30 that need to go out urgently. Not cool. Lazy...just plain lazy.

So anyway...tomorrow we are going to the Cajun Festival in Simi Valley. Danny's company has some generators there, so he is working at the festival to make sure everything is running smoothly. I told him I would come by and we could eat some crawfish and shrimp. Yummm. I hope it warms up a bit tomorrow so we can enjoy the day. This is some serious earthquake weather we're having. Don't say I didn't warn ya.

I saw Indy last night-- it was ok. I don't know what I was expecting but that was a little more sciFi than I normally care for in an Indy flick.
