On Call

It sucks being on call for jury duty all week. You can't really make any plans, because you have no idea what your day is gonna have in store for you until you call in the night before to see if you need to report to the courthouse the next day. Luckily, I haven't had to go in yet (crossing my fingers). But, we'll see. I have 2 days to go.

Let's see...aside from my stint as an on-call juror this week, we are leaving for Vegas on Saturday morning. We're staying at the Palazzo, which I am really looking forward to. The rooms look beautiful. I definitely did not want to stay at the Wynn again after our past 2 lousy experiences there. We'll be coming home Sunday afternoon after we have breakfast with my mom.

The Saturn Awards are a week from today. I am very excited to be a part of them again this year. I had a great time last year. I just hope I don't look too fat in my dress. I bought a pair of shoes tonight to go with it. They are silver and they cost $27 at Windsor. Who needs expensive shoes for one night, right?
