That's Assistant Stage Hostess to You

Last night were the 34th Annual Saturn Awards, held at the Universal Hilton. This was my 2nd year working the event as the Assistant Stage Hostess. Unfortunately, I wasn't bumped up to main stage hostess this year. Maybe next year perhaps? We'll see.

Anyway, we arrived at the hotel at 4:00 p.m. and walked around, looking at the ballroom that was all set up for the show. We had a little nosh, cause it was gonna be a long day ahead of us and then went to rehearsal. The show started at around 8:15 and ended at almost 11:00 p.m. I was pooped out by that point, so I didn't go to the after party. Oh well. I also didn't get any pictures with any celebs either, but that's ok. I still got to meet a few of them. Let's see...who was there: Jennifer Love Hewitt, John Voight, Lindsay Wagner, Dolph Lundgren, Adrian Pasdar, William Ragsdale, some of the cast of Cloverfield and Jericho, etc...Lots of familiar faces, but I didn't even know their names. It was fun though.

At one point, Jeffrey Ross, the host of the show, called Valerie (the main stage hostess) and myself up on stage. He told everyone to give us a round of applause and then proceeded to tell the entire audience how Valerie looked like a hooker from Battlestar Galactica. I am so glad he didn't say anything bad about me. Phew! But, I knew it was all in good fun and I hope she didn't take offense to what he said.

All in all, the evening was a lot of fun and I would gladly do it again for a 3rd year, if asked. Below are some pictures for your viewing entertainment:
